AccessRise · Group Day Services
A meaningful day.
Skills, friendships, and choice.
AccessRise Group Day Services bring people together for structured activities, skill development, and individualized support in a welcoming program setting. Each person’s day reflects their interests, assessed needs, choices, and Individual Support Plan.
What Group Day Services Can Look Like
At our Fredericksburg and Manassas programs, people can take part in creative, social, practical, and wellness activities with support from Community Coaches. Activities are adapted to help each person participate in a way that is meaningful to them.
Activity examples come from the Fredericksburg October 2026 calendar and Manassas October 2026 calendar. They illustrate possible experiences, not a fixed schedule or a record of attendance. Participation reflects each person’s choices, needs, and support plan; activities may change.
Daily Living Skills
Practice useful skills through structured, supported activities.
Calendar examples: Cooking activities, making fruit salad, proper hand cleaning, and laundry activities appear in the October calendars.
Communication and Social Connections
Build opportunities to express preferences, listen, take turns, and enjoy activities with peers.

Technology and Learning

Calendar examples: Typing practice, searching the internet, reading activities, and computer games provide opportunities to learn and practice.
Comfort, Choice, and Personal Support
Build the day around each person’s communication, routines, sensory preferences, and support needs.
Calendar examples: Manassas offers calming-corner choices such as sensory lights, meditation, and teatime. Both calendars include lunch, breaks, personal care, and transitions.
A Day Built Around the Individual
Choice is part of the daily routine. People may explore different activities, communicate preferences, work toward personal goals, and receive support with breaks, transitions, and personal care as needed.
The calendars also include community outings, such as libraries, museums, parks, and shopping. The activities and services a person participates in are guided by their individual plan and preferences.
