AccessStar Community Living Services Inc. is a licensed provider through the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. We provide person-centered services and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout Virginia.
At AccessStar, we believe every person has unique strengths, goals, preferences, and potential. Our compassionate and well-trained team works alongside each person to build independence, strengthen daily living skills, participate in the community, and pursue a life that is meaningful to them.
Support Built Around Each Person
Our services are guided by each person’s choices, assessed needs, Individual Support Plan, and personal goals. Depending on the person and the services authorized, support may include:
- Group home and residential services
- Day support through AccessRise
- Community engagement and community coaching
- Private duty and skilled nursing support
- Skill development, community participation, and greater independence
Whether someone is learning new skills, strengthening existing abilities, building relationships, improving health and safety, or becoming more involved in their community, our role is to provide the structure, encouragement, and individualized support needed to help them succeed.
Working Together to Create Better Outcomes
AccessStar collaborates with Community Services Boards, families, guardians, support coordinators, healthcare professionals, and other community partners throughout Virginia. These partnerships help us provide coordinated, responsive, and person-centered services that reflect each person’s needs and choices.
Our culturally diverse leadership team brings more than 60 years of combined experience to the organization. That experience supports our commitment to compassionate care, quality services, continuous improvement, and respect for the dignity and rights of every person we support.
